The Metal Foundry SDX. is an all-new recording with Meshuggah drummer Tomas Haake,
featuring seven massive drum kits, spanning 300,000 sound files of raw, single hit
drum recordings in the vein of Drumkit From Hell and dfh Superior, covering Hard
Rock to Metal, from the early Blues tinged sound of the late 60s to the
fragmentation of today.s music, from Power through Thrash, Death and Progressive
Metal.
The Metal Foundry SDX. celebrates the Toontrack. Music Hard Rock and Heavy Metal
legacy of the first Drumkit From Hell, on which the company has built its
following. This in turn has spawned such groundbreaking products as dfh Superior,
EZdrummer. and Superior Drummer. 2.0.
The Metal Foundry SDX. was recorded and produced at Atlantis Studios in December
2008 by the original Drumkit From Hell recording team, Mattias Eklund
(Toontrack. Music), Fredrik Thordendal (Meshuggah), Daniel Bergstrand
(Dug Out Studios) and Tomas Haake (Meshuggah).
Install Size:
Basic Install - 3.48 GB (Requires only disk 1)
This is a basic install of the default kit augmented of a selection of snares and
kickdrums. It contains all closed microphones, overhead and one set of ambience
microphones. It contains no bleed except for toms and kick bleed through.
Limited Install - 8.21 GB
This is a limited install of all the instruments. It contains all closed
microphones, overhead and one set of ambience microphones. It contains no bleed
except for toms and kick bleed through SnareBottom microphones.
Extended Install - 21.17 GB
This is an extended installation for all the instruments. It contains the closed
microphones as well as all the ambience microphones. Specialist mic channels and
secondary bleed, such as bleed into the kick and toms mics, is not included.
Full Install - 33.66 GB (Recommended)
This is the full install of all the instruments. It contains closed microphones,
all additional microphones, and bleed in all of those.
